Good Morning,
God calls each of us to serve Him with the talents that He gave us. So, when I read this verse, it seems to be clear to me what "I" or maybe "we" should be doing with our efforts.
Mark 9:36-37
36 He took a little child and had him stand among them. Taking him in his arms, he said to them, 37 "Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me."I have to resist going into a long sermon on the subject of youth. This next verse speaks loud and clear to me.
Mark 9:42
Causing to Sin
42"And if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to be thrown into the sea with a large millstone tied around his neck."
I ask this, if we believe 36-37 and fear 42, then why aren't our Church youth programs overflowing with youth? The world has got the attention of our youth and you can witness it everywhere. Are our youth more afraid of God or loosing cell phone privileges? Yea like I said before, there are a few sermons here. I guess I can't hide what God talks to me about.
Find your talent and use your passion to do the deeds that will glorify our King. If you are unsure of what that is, I would be glad to put you to work for a good cause, youth.
